ASTCC Courtesy Visit to Legislative Yuan & OCAC

On August 3, 2021, President Chiang led the ASTCC representatives, together with former ASTCC President Liu Shutian, ASTCC honorary president Lai Weixin, ASTCC honorary chief supervisor Liu Meide, ASTCC honorary chief supervisor Zhang Nanping, ASTCC secretary-general Lin Dengfeng, ASTCC chief financial officer Zhuang Bingyang, ASTCC vice presidents, ASTCCJC president Chiang Peishan, and ASTCCC chief-secretary Hsieh Jiaen and other 20 representatives visited the Legislative Yuan President You, Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee Minister Tong of the, Vice Minister Hsu and Director Zhang of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee. Legislative Yuan President You and Chairman Tong are very concerned about the health and career conditions of overseas Taiwanese during the pandemic, and exchange views on issues such as pandemic measures, charter flights for overseas Taiwanese, overseas Taiwan businessman medical supplies, medical bubbles, and Taiwan overseas businessmen’s application for overseas trust funds. The meeting is about an hour. President Chiang mentioned that the Legislative Yuan is one of the government agencies that supports Taiwanese businessmen the most. Regarding the economic losses of overseas Taiwanese businessmen due to the closure and lockdown imposed by local governments in various Asian countries due to the pandemic. The ASTCC will continue to assist Taiwanese businessmen overseas and looking forward to work with Taiwan government on future endeavors. ASTCCC greatly appreciates to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission and the Legislative Yuan for supporting the overseas Taiwanese businessmen.
