In the 1990s, many Taiwanese businessmen responded to Taiwan government’s southward policy and invested in Southeast Asian countries. Taiwanese overseas entrepreneurs were able to obtain insightful investment information in order to establish a bridge between the invested countries and Taiwan government. Hence, various Taiwanese chamber of commerce were established one after another. In 1993, Asia Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce {ASTCC) was established, linking various Taiwanese chambers from different Asian countries. In order to encourage 2nd generation and young Taiwanese overseas entrepreneurs to join the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in their respective countries, Asia Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce Junior Chapter (ASTCCJC) was established, aiming to pass down the spirit of ASTCC and to ensure the long lasting development of the chamber.
